Morehead State University’s Small Business Development Center is helping local residents who want to open a business with a free class this month.

The center will host “Creating a Successful Business Plan,” a free class that will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Jan. 21, Jan. 23, Jan. 28 and Jan. 30 at MSU Prestonsburg, Room 238, located on the Prestonsburg campus of Big Sandy Community and Technical College.

The class will be offered in a group setting, so that individuals can work together with a trained business coach on their individual business plan.

Participants will learn how to write a business plan, using LivePlan software.

There is no cost to attend the class, but participants are asked to pre-register by Jan. 17 at, kysbdc.ecenterdirect.com/events/9145 or by calling Michelle Springs at, (606) 783-2681. Those attending must have basic computer skills and knowledge.
