A Floyd Chronicle

and Times Staff Report

The Floyd County Community Early Childhood Council is hosting its annual “HEART” (Helping Everyone Achieve Readiness Together) fair this weekend.

The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, at Big Sandy Community and Technical College.

The fair, geared for pre-school aged children and their siblings, will feature a visit from Batman and his Batmobile.

The council hosts this event each year, offering Headstart and Preschool applications to the public, as well as free health screenings required for children when they start school.

Door prizes will be given away throughout the day at the HEART fair in addition to a “meet and greet” with cartoon characters, with games, activities and free refreshments and snacks for children and informational resources and vendors for parents.
