The Floyd County Sheriff’s Department reports that deputies arrested a man in the Grethel community who was wanted on multiple criminal charges including sexual abuse.
Late Tuesday night, deputies and the department’s K9 “Drago” captured Jimmy Darrell Frazier, a press release said, for multiple criminal charges, including first-degree sexual assault of a child under the age of 12, fourth-degree assault, violating graves, first-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, harassment, third-degree terroristic threatening, wrongfully filling prescriptions, public intoxication of a controlled substance, second-degree disorderly conduct, second-degree fleeing/evading police and possession of marijuana.
“Frazier had avoided capture multiple times in the past by running and/or hiding at different locations in the Red Morg Branch and Branhams Creek community,” the department reported. “Hopefully his arrest brings some relief to the community and to those involved in the investigations.”
Frazier is scheduled to appear in Floyd District Court on Friday for preliminary hearings in two felony cases filed against him.
