An investigation into a stolen vehicle led to the discovery of 200 grams of crystal meth in Ivel last week.
The Floyd County Sheriff’s Department arrested two people who were allegedly found with a stolen vehicle and more than 200 grams of crystal meth last week.
The department reports that on Oct. 9, deputies located a stolen vehicle in Ivel and during the investigation, a statement said, they located Tyler Thacker, who was “a convicted felon while in possession of a firearm along with a large amount of illegal drugs.”
Thacker, 26, of Ivel, was charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance after deputies found 200 grams of crystal meth in his possession, as well as a handgun, the statement said.
Deputies also arrested Lonna Brook Music, 27, of Louisville, for receiving stolen property.
They were each arraigned in Floyd District Court on Monday.
