Forest Martin

Forrest Martin, born Jan. 7, 1956, in Craynor, passed away Monday, Oct. 21, 2019, at his home in Waverly, Ohio.

In addition to his parents, Kenis and Dollie Martin of Teaberry, Forrest was preceded in death by four brothers: Andy, Bill and Bert T. Martin, all of Craynor, and John Dee Martin of Salyersville and two sisters: Pauline Martin of Craynor and Delores Timm of Teaberry.

Left to mourn are two sons: Forrest Jr. and Davy Martin; two daughters: Karen Lynn and Susie; three brothers: Denver and Carl Martin of Carleton, Mich. and Leonard Martin of West Liberty and two sisters: Helen Conn of Teaberry and Opal Ricker of Cridersville, Ohio.

Also left behind are a host of nieces, cousins and friends who will greatly miss him.

Forrest was an Army veteran, a retired truck driver and a giving, loving soul.  While he may not have been able to physically attend, his church family of New Freedom Church in Piketon, Ohio held services in his home.

Following Forrest’s wishes, calling hours will not be observed.

Arrangements are under the direction of Cox Burkitt Funeral Home of Beaver, Ohio.

James R. Allen, 77, of Prestonsburg, died Saturday, Oct. 26, 2019.

Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 28, at the Allen First Baptist Church.

Burial followed in the Guyles Allen Cemetery, Pyramid.

Arrangements were under the direction of Hall Funeral Home of Martin.

Senforosa Andres Baca

Senforosa Andres Baca, 70, of East Point, died Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2019.

Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 28, at Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home, Martin.

Burial followed in Gethsemane Gardens, Prestonsburg.

Arrangements were under the direction of Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home of Martin.

Cecil Baldridge

Cecil Baldridge, 72, of Prestonsburg, died Friday, Oct. 25, 2019.

Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 28, at Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home, Martin.

Burial followed in the Bob Prater Cemetery, Middle Creek.

Arrangements were under the direction of Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home of Martin.

Alden Nettie Hall

Alden Nettie Hall, 68, of Drift, died Friday, Oct. 25, 2019.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 29, at the Hall Funeral Home, Martin.

Burial followed in the King Cemetery, Kite.

Arrangements were under the direction of Hall Funeral Home of Martin.

Sally Hotelling

Sally Marie Jones Hotelling, 69, of Wayland, died Thursday, Oct. 24, 2019.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hall Funeral Home of Martin.

Elizabeth Allison May

Elizabeth Allison May, 87, of Langley, died Saturday, Oct. 26, 2019.

A memorial visitation will be held at 6 p.m., Friday, Nov. 1, at Hall Funeral Home, Martin.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 2, at the Graceway United Methodist Church, Maytown.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hall Funeral Home of Martin.

Chandra Gaye

Ousley

Chandra Gaye Ousley, 62, of Salyersville, died Sunday, Oct. 27, 2019.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 30, at Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home, Martin.

Burial will follow in Gethsemane Gardens, Prestonsburg.

Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home of Martin.

Margaret Mae Tussey

Margaret Mae Tussey, 86, of Blue River, died Monday, Oct. 28, 2019.

Visitation will be held at 6 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 30, at Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home, Martin.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 31, at the funeral home.

Burial will follow in Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel.

Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home of Martin.
