FC hosts Tip-Off Classic

EASTERN — Floyd Central High School is set to host the 2018 Johnny Martin Tip-Off Classic on Wednesday, Nov. 21. The latest version of the annual preseason high school basketball event will feature teams from the 15th and 14th regions. 

The 2018 Johnny Martin Tip-Off Classic will be made up of three boys' games and one girls' game. 

The games scheduled for the Johnny Martin Tip-Off Classic are as follows: Phelps vs. June Buchanan (Boys); Pike Central vs. Letcher Central (Boys), East Ridge vs. Floyd Central (Girls); Belfry vs. Floyd Central (Boys).

The Jaguars ended the 2017/2018 season 19-12. Floyd Central lost to Paintsville in the opening round of the 15th Region Boys' Basketball Tournament.

The Lady Jaguars concluded the 2017/2018 season 16-10. Floyd Central fell to Pikeville in the 15th Region Girls' Basketball Tournament Semifinals.

The Floyd Central boys' and girls' basketball squads as well as teams from across the state will take the floor for season-openers in less than two weeks.

7:00 p.m. - Belfry vs. Floyd Central (Boys)
