But the night was mostly about the seniors - Beth Burchett, Alison Campbell, Makayla Ousley, Chelsea Samons and Grace Trusty. What those girls have done for our soccer program is impossible to put into words. It’s not only the talent that they have as players that has helped lead to a bunch of wins, but the attitude and work ethic they have. Those are things that will continue to leave their mark even after they are gone. I’m really lucky to have gotten to coach them.”

Now, Prestonsburg has turned its collective focus to the postseason.

“We’re excited about the postseason,” added Burchett. “Our goal is to win the region. That starts with the district tournament next week at Johnson Central. We like where we are and what we have done in the regular season, but now we have to go perform in the postseason.”
