On Sunday, Jan 31, the Dance Etc. Studio of Dance in Prestonsburg presented its rendition of the Nutcracker at the Mountain Arts Center. Due to COVID-19 exposure, which affected over half of its high school dancers, the show was postponed from its original Jan. 25 date. Sunday’s presentation featured two separate shows, 5:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. respectively, and because of the virus and caution associated with it, individuals were given the chance to stream the Nutcracker live. According to MAC Director Joe Campbell, for each showing of the Nutcracker, the MAC sold approximately 200 tickets and also sold nine tickets for the livestream presentation.
