On Saturday, July 4, residents from Prestonsburg and Floyd County made their way to the city for this year's Fourth of July fireworks show. However, the fireworks wasn't the only thing for individuals to enjoy, as the city held a small carnival during this past weekend. The carnival opened up on Wednesday, after workers were able to finish setting things up ahead of schedule and proceeded to be open beginning at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with the Prestonsburg fireworks show bringing an end to the fun filled weekend.
