VFW received donation, recruits veterans on Veterans Day

Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3769 received a check in the amount of $4,000 from the Kentucky VFW on Veterans Day, Nov. 11 The VFW set up Post 3769 on location to recruit new members at the Texas Roadhouse in Pikeville where the restaurant served a free lunch to every U.S. veteran in honor of Veterans Day. Kentucky State Commander Nathan Sesco said there were 21 new veterans who joined the VFW. “It is important to keep active posts because we have to be here for the next generation of veterans,” he said. “We are the voice for veterans at home and in DC.
